Or if you already know that you’d like to get started, book a new patient in-office or telehealth visit. If you already know which service you’d like + do not need consultation prior (unless specified one is required on the Booking Page), feel free to book the treatment of your choice. *Before your first session, you’ll complete a detailed medical history questionnaire, which Dr. Varela will review thoroughly. If she identifies any concerns that may prevent us from proceeding, we’ll contact you ahead of your appointment.


2. New Patient Visit (In-Person + Telehealth)

Initial appointments with the doctor are usually 60-minutes, more or less, depending on the complexity of the case. We treat the whole person + consider the whole body with respect to many factors, focusing on nutrition + lifestyle modification.

These visits include:

  • An inquiry into your medical concerns + health goals

  • A comprehensive review of your medical + lifestyle history

  • Interpretation of past lab work and determination if new labs are needed

  • Relevant physical exams if necessary

  • Assessment of your current medications and supplements

  • Detailed treatment recommendations and proposal of the best plan of action.


3. Follow Ups

Follow-up appointments range from 15-minute to 60-minute visits based on the complexity of the case. Frequency depends on each individual’s need, which is typically every 3-4 weeks for the first 3 months for the best outcome.
